Privacy Policy

This website, rasheed.pk, is run by me, Mohsin Rasheed. This page explains what personal data the site handles and which services are involved. The site collects very little.
What the site collects
Contact form. If you use the contact form, you send me your name, email address and message. The site does not keep a copy: the message is emailed to my inbox, and I use it only to reply to you. If you email contact@rasheed.pk directly, I receive your email address and whatever you write.
Server logs. The hosting services listed below log requests to the site. These logs typically include your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time of the request. They exist to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Nothing else. The site has no accounts, comments or newsletter, and I do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools.
Services that handle your data
I do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. These services process data in order to run the site:
- Vercel hosts the site and runs the code behind the contact form. (Privacy notice)
- Resend sends the contact form message to me by email, and may keep a record of the emails it sends. (Privacy policy)
- Cloudflare runs the domain’s DNS, forwards email sent to the address below to my inbox, and serves the photos in stories from media.rasheed.pk, so it receives your IP address when those images load. (Privacy policy)
- Google provides my email inbox (Gmail), so it handles contact form messages and emails sent to the address below. It also runs YouTube (see below). (Privacy policy)
These companies operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside Pakistan.
Videos from YouTube
Some stories embed videos from my YouTube channel, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The player loads when you scroll to it, and loading it contacts Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address and browser details. YouTube says this mode does not store information about visitors unless they play the video. If you play it, YouTube may set cookies and collect data as described in Google’s privacy policy. I cannot control what Google stores.
Cookies
The site does not set cookies of its own, and it has no login. The services above, and YouTube videos in particular, may set their own cookies or similar storage.
How long I keep your data
I keep contact messages for as long as I need them to reply and to keep a record of the conversation, and I will delete them if you ask. How long hosting and email services keep their own logs is set by their policies.
Your choices
You can ask me what personal data of yours I hold, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email contact@rasheed.pk and I will respond to reasonable requests. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Links to other sites
Pages and stories link to other sites, including YouTube, X, Facebook and Substack. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave this site.
Changes
If I change how the site handles data, for example by adding analytics, I will update this page and its date.
